Having worked for many of the leading furniture manufacturers in the world – Patricia Urquiola is about as successful as one gets in the design realm. Axor is renown for working with leading designers; they also site ranges from the prolific Antonio Citterio and Philippe Starck. In Urquiola’s range, it’s refreshing to see that she recognises the very things most important to women within a bathroom. With private spaces for getting ready, a sink slightly to the right of the mirror (so that you can freshen up before seeing the damage) she still enables the bathroom to act as a living space, a sanctuary and spa within the home. It’s an inviting space that you could easily wile away time in. We loved the reference to old copper baths in her bathtub, and the delicacy of the tapware. It was also impressive that even though the bathroom range is entirely white – the space had a feeling of warmth and tranquility.
